CSUN to announce New publication "Learning Challenges for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Students With Disabilities"

Please see the link of new publication announcement here Publications Soraya Fallah   (Center for Teaching and Learning),  Bronte Reynolds   (Educational Leadership and Policy Studies)   and  Wendy Murawski   (Special Education) published their book Learning Challenges for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Students With Disabilities through  IGI  Global: International Publisher of Information Science and Technology Research. This reference publication identifies ways in which CLD families can be involved with schools to help build educators’ cultural competence and explores the idea of disabilities as a social model with a focus on strengths rather than a medical model focused on needs and weaknesses.

چگونه با «هنجار جدید» آموزش در خانه کنار بیاییم؟   دکتر ثریا فلاح تا به امروز بیش از یک میلیون و ۶۰۰ هزار نفر به بیماری فراگیر و همه‌گیر جهانی کووید ۱۹ مبتلا شده‌اند. با تغییراتی که بر اثر آسیب‌هایی که بر بهداشت عمومی‌ مردم در جهان پدید آمده، تحصیل فرزندان درگیر سوالات زیادی است. قانونگذاران، دولتمردان، موسسات اجتماعی بالاخص خانواده‌ها، ناخواسته دست به تغییراتی برای پیشگیری از خسارت‌های جبران ناپذیر تعطیلی مدارس و مراکز آموزشی زده‌اند. آیا تا چند ماه قبل فکر می‌کردید که با پدیده تعیین فاصله از سایر افراد جامعه و احکام قانونی ماندن در منزل روبه‌رو شوید یا آموزش و ادامه تحصیل در خانه یک تجربه جمعی باشد؟ این تجربه بسیاری از ماست که هرگز فکر نمی‌کردیم که در ابتدای سال ۲۰۲۰ میلادی/ سال ۱۳۹۹ شمسی با آن روبه‌رو شده و زندگی کنیم. وضعیت کنونی، وضعیت قبلاً ناآشنا یا غیر عادیی که به صورت عادی، معمول، یا مورد انتظار تبدیل شده است، «نرمال جدید» نامیده می‌شود. کنار آمدن با آن برای بسیاری از والدین/مراقبان مشکل است بالاخص کسانی که کارشان را باید از منزل کنترل کرده و انجام دهند. ...
