For Kurdish Readers: Dr. Soraya Fallah interview on Jina Revolution, Women, Life Freedom movement in Iran
In
the Kurdish interview, I explained how the "Jina Revolution" has
reshaped the narrative of resistance in both Kurdistan and Iran, empowering
marginalized voices, particularly Kurdish women, who have historically been
overlooked. The movement challenges not just gender inequality but also the
ethnic marginalization within Iranian society, calling for greater unity across
diverse groups. I pointed out that the slogan "Jin, Jiyan, Azadi"
serves as a bridge, connecting different struggles and fostering a new sense of
Kurdish identity and pride. Looking forward, I stressed that this movement has
the potential to inspire a more inclusive feminist movement in Iran, one that
recognizes the intersectional nature of oppression and the critical role of
ethnic minorities. The global community, while showing solidarity, has often
failed to fully grasp these complexities, which is why greater awareness and
deeper engagement are needed.
