گزارش سرکوب مردم جوانرود در خیزش انقلابی؛
In this brief interview, I discussed the 94-page report by
the Human Rights Campaign in Iran and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network
published on Wednesday, September 5th, titled "Javanrood: The Fire of
Governance Over Empty Hands and Bastions of People's Anger." The report
talks about the occurrence of massacre and human rights abuses in Javanrood,
Iran, in the past year. Iranian security forces attacked protesters, resulting
in the deaths of 8 individuals, including a child, and leaving at least 80
injured. The report offers recommendations to the international community,
including the formation of a UN Truth-Finding Commission to investigate the events
and hold those responsible accountable. The significance of this report
includes summoning Iranian ambassadors, global awareness of human rights
violations, pressuring the Iranian government for investigation and
accountability, and upholding human rights worldwide. This report can
contribute to increasing global awareness and exerting pressure for human
rights reforms in Iran.

It is for children who did not choose to be torn apart by war, displacement, or trauma, and who need our attention now more than ever. It is for all the children who, instead of sitting in classrooms, are in refugee camps. It is also dedicated to the people who instilled a life-long passion for learning and teaching in us. We share this with all who seek equi...

Celebrating Milestones, Welcoming New Graduates at CSUN Commencement Ceremony As we stand on the threshold of yet another academic milestone, we are reminded of the essence of our shared journey and the collective achievements we celebrate. Every year, CSUN's alma mater selects a distinguished alumni member to extend a warm embrace to the graduating class as they take their first steps into the esteemed community of CSUN alumni. This year, it fills me with immense pride to announce that a cherished member of our Education Alumni Chapter Board will stand as the embodiment of our collective accomplishments, representing our vast network of over 420,000 CSUN alumni at the combined commencement ceremony for the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and the Michael D. Eisner College of Education. The event will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 6 p.m., as we gather on the University Library lawn to witness this pivotal moment.
