Dr. Soraya Fallah interview on Iran International TV about: The report of repression of the people of Javanrud in the revolutionary uprising;

گزارش سرکوب مردم جوانرود در خیزش انقلابی؛ 

In this brief interview, I discussed the 94-page report by the Human Rights Campaign in Iran and the Kurdistan Human Rights Network published on Wednesday, September 5th, titled "Javanrood: The Fire of Governance Over Empty Hands and Bastions of People's Anger." The report talks about the occurrence of massacre and human rights abuses in Javanrood, Iran, in the past year. Iranian security forces attacked protesters, resulting in the deaths of 8 individuals, including a child, and leaving at least 80 injured. The report offers recommendations to the international community, including the formation of a UN Truth-Finding Commission to investigate the events and hold those responsible accountable. The significance of this report includes summoning Iranian ambassadors, global awareness of human rights violations, pressuring the Iranian government for investigation and accountability, and upholding human rights worldwide. This report can contribute to increasing global awareness and exerting pressure for human rights reforms in Iran. 

من در این مصاحبه کوتاه در مورد گزارش «۹۴ صفحه‌ای» کمپین حقوق بشر در ایران و شبکه حقوق بشر کردستان که سه‌شنبه ۱۴ شهریور با عنوان «جوانرود؛ آتش جنگ حاکمیت بر دست‌های خالی و سنگرهای خشم مردم» منتشر شده صحبت کردم. این گزارش در مورد وقوع کشتار و سوءاستفاده از حقوق بشر در جوانرود، ایران، در سال گذشته حرف می‌زند. نیروهای امنیتی ایران به معترضان حمله کرده و ۸ نفر، از جمله یک کودک، کشته شده و حداقل ۸۰ نفر مجروح شده‌اند. گزارش توصیه‌هایی به جامعه بین‌المللی دارد، از جمله تشکیل کمیته حقیقت‌یاب سازمان ملل برای بررسی اتفاقات و پیگرد مسئولان. اهمیت این گزارش شامل احضار سفیران ایران، شناخت جهانی به وقوع نقض حقوق بشر، فشار بر دولت ایران برای تحقیق و پیگرد مسئولان، و حفظ حقوق بشر در جهان است. این گزارش می‌تواند به افزایش آگاهی جهانی و ایجاد فشار برای اصلاحات در زمینه حقوق بشر در ایران کمک کند

The Kurdish Community of Southern California presented an appreciation award to its immediate past vice president, Dr. Soraya Fallah, in recognition of her 17 years of dedicated service to the community.

At the New Year's evening community gathering hosted by the Kurdish Community of Southern California (KCSC), Dr. Soraya Fallah was honored with an Appreciation Award for her remarkable 17 years of service to the community. Jan 1st 2024 Voice of Kurdish-American(VOK) Soraya Fallah, a Kurdish women and human rights researcher , activist, and community mobilizer, served as the immediate past vice president and a founding member of the Kurdish Community of Southern California (KCSC). From its inception in 2006 until January 2023, Soraya dedicated her time and expertise to the organization, devoting time to media and public relations throughout her tenure. Collaborating with her colleagues on the KCSC board of directors, she o rganized community gatherings,   mobilized for urgent human rights actions , coordinated culturally enriching events such as Newroz celebrations and festivals, and hosted Kurdish artists and singers.  Soraya consistently honored and acknowledged the efforts
